The slip of the tongue!

If somebody addresses one as 'son of a bitch ' and says 'never mind it was simply the slip of the tongue' ,would the matter end there and the man so addressed would go away satisfied?Such a scene is difficult to conjure up.If it really happens you could abuse others at your heart's content taking the advantage of the escape phrase 'the slip of the tongue'.Anubrata Mandal of TMC has exactly done it before Panchayet Polls at Birbhum. He advised his cadres to demolish the houses of independent candidates in his locality and set them on fire.He also added if cops interfered in their action they'd throw bombs at the police vans.Faced with scathing criticism demanding stringent action for this outrageous statement from all corners he simply said,'It was his slip of the tongue'.Such a noble confession even satisfied the Chief minister Mamata Banerjee who's incidentally Home minister too.CM even defended Anubrata in the Assembly house referring to his great confession although High Court has already instructed police administration to nab him under non-bailable offence for his open instigation to the cadres to take law in their own hands.

"He (Anubrata Mandal) advised his cadres to demolish the houses of

independent candidates in his locality and set them on fire".
I am not a TMC aficionado and I abhor what is happening around us.
This is degradation of our culture brought about by the CPI(M) during
their rule for the last 34 years and is will be really difficult to
reverse this cultural scenario. It will be instructive to do a
background search of Anubrata Mandal, Monirul Islam, Arabul and of
their elk and what they were doing two years earlier.
I do not belong to Anubrata Mandal fan club but I must point out that
he is being misquoted by the media and the missive of Dr. Ujjal K. Pal
is no exception. The correct quotation should have been (as can be
verified from repeated airing of the threat made out by Anubrata
    Mandal) --

"He advised his cadres to demolish the houses of independent
candidates in his locality who threaten you and set them on fire"
Such misquotation impinges on the credibility of the writer and
reveals his political leanings as a particular party is indulging in
    such double speak.

  2. Mr.PC Bose has claimed I misquoted Anubrata Mandal’s most provocative speech to whip up hatred in their cadres against independent candidates before Panchayet polls. Yes, I happened to have inadvertently omitted ‘if they (independent candidates) threaten you (cadres)’.But does it make a big difference or lessen the intensity of provocation a wee bit? I don't think so. The most instigative part of his invectives was ‘Demolish their(independent candidates) houses and set them on fire. That apart, he asked his cadres to throw bombs at cops if they intervene, which itself is a criminal offence that warrants legal action. Perhaps, none of us(me & Mr.Bose) was present when Anubrata Mandal spewed venom on his adversaries. Whatever we learned about the episode was from media. So let me refer to the on-line edition of The Times of India which quoted Anubrata’s fiery speech as “If any independent candidate threatens you, burn his house. If the police support him, throw bombs at them."( http://articles.timesofindia.indiatimes.com/2013-07-28/kolkata/40847830_1_the-cm-chief-minister-kamduni).
In fine, I make no bones about my leaning towards some political ideology. I do believe to fight shy of admitting to such inclination or declare onself apolitical is nothing but self deception. Nor do I believe to share a particular political view does in any way make one compromise with pragmatic outlook.
